Your First Visit: Expect a Comfortable, Comprehensive Experience
From the moment you arrive at our Mount Barker practice, you’ll be greeted personally by our team and made to feel genuinely at ease—because we know that first visit can feel like a big step.
Before your appointment, we’ll send secure online forms to complete at your convenience (no printing or faxing required). Your initial consultation with one of our chiropractors takes approximately 60 minutes and includes a thorough discussion of your history, comprehensive Insight nerve scans, and a detailed physical examination—all conducted privately and at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll take the time to explain what we’re doing and why, answering any questions along the way
Many clients aren’t adjusted on their first visit, as we prefer to review your findings thoroughly before recommending treatment. If X-rays are needed, we have onsite imaging facilities and can take care of that element in-house. Every step is designed with your comfort and confidence in mind, so you can feel certain you’re being genuinely looked after.
Your Second Visit: Clear Answers and a Personalised Plan
Your second appointment is where everything comes together. In this 30-minute Report of Findings, we’ll walk you through what we discovered during your initial assessment—your exam results and any X-rays—so you have a clear picture of what’s happening in your body and why you’re experiencing your symptoms.
We’ll explain what needs attention, how we recommend addressing it, realistic timeframes for your recovery, and what it will cost. There’s no pressure—you’re in control of your care. If you’d like to receive your first adjustment that day, we’re ready. If you’d prefer more time to think things through, that’s completely fine too. Together, we’ll build a care plan that fits your goals, your lifestyle, and your comfort level.
Once you begin care with us, your immediate family members can take advantage of our Family Check-Up Policy—a complimentary initial consultation and Report of Findings to ensure your whole family has the opportunity to benefit from chiropractic care. We also offer flexible payment plans, accept EPC referrals and DVA patients, and can discuss private health insurance options on a case-by-case basis.
Phases of Care: The Path We Recommend
Care usually progresses through three phases, with progress checked along the way:
- Initial Phase: Reduce pain and inflammation so you can move and rest better. Visits may be more frequent during this stage.
- Corrective Phase: Address the underlying cause, restore joint motion, and allow your body to heal. We’ll also introduce neuromuscular exercises to build stability and strength.
- Wellness Phase: Once we’ve corrected the root cause, you can choose your path forward—either work with us to further enhance your health and vitality, or simply maintain where you are with less frequent visits to prevent flare-ups.

Our refreshed art-deco space is thoughtfully designed for families—fully accessible with no steps, a kids’ window nook for colouring and playing, and a welcoming atmosphere that feels calm rather than clinical. We offer late appointments on Mondays and Thursdays and do our best to accommodate walk-ins when appointments are available.
